Chris Pugh - Guitar, vox

Well, ya can't win 'em all.... I had grown tired of always being the singer in every one of my bands, and Chris had a number of songs already sketched out. He had already played some of these in a short-lived project with Gits drummer Steve Moriarty. So in the beginning, Chris was just the singer and I only played the guitar (later, Chris began playing guitar too). The first few months were a bit awkward, as Chris and I struggled to write some songs together, which ended up rather weak. We had no idea which direction to go until Chris shared some of the tunes that he played with Steve, and we honed in on a classic punk formula - short, sharp, and simple. Really simple! Our drummer Dana booked our shows, and we ended up playing everywhere from Renton to Kirkland to eastern Washington to Tuesday nights in Pioneer Square. I think the rest of us had more of "quality over quantity" mindset when it came to playing out. Chris was already getting restless by the time we recorded our one and only CD, "Rock Cartel," and he bailed shortly thereafter. The band was a failure in nearly every respect. But we did play Pain in the Grass at the Seattle Center - a first for me! Droo is now in the Cops, the Basements and probably some other bands, Dana owns and books the El Corazon club and plays drums in Witchburn, Chris is currently not in a band.
